Summary:

  • Titanfall 3 rumors recently resurfaced, exciting long-time fans.
  • A leak suggested it’s in development with a fresh approach, but no confirmed release date.
  • Jeff Grubb debunked the hype, saying the rumor is likely false and not to expect anything soon.
  • While Apex Legends 2 isn’t happening, a 2.0 version upgrade may be on the way instead.

Titanfall 3 — just hearing the name sparks a wave of nostalgia and excitement for fans who’ve been waiting nearly a decade for another jump into wall-running chaos and mechs dropping from the sky.

And lately, the gaming world has been buzzing again, thanks to a few spicy leaks and rumors making the rounds.

But are we really getting Titanfall 3… or is it just another letdown waiting to happen?

Recently, the rumor mill exploded when a leak suggested Titanfall 3 might finally be in development. This sparked joy (and memes) all over Reddit and Twitter.

The leak hinted at a return to form, a possible spiritual follow-up to Titanfall 2’s fast-paced campaign, and maybe even multiplayer elements built from scratch — not Apex Legends leftovers.

But as always, not everyone’s buying it.

Industry insider Jeff Grubb quickly chimed in to put out the hype-fire. He said the rumor is likely false and clarified that the leaker claimed their source was “100% sure about everything except the announcement and release dates.” Which, well… is kind of the most important part, right?

Grubb’s track record has been solid but not flawless. He’s nailed some past leaks — and missed on others.

So, while his input matters, it’s not the ultimate nail in the coffin. As fans, we know better than to give up hope after the first denial.

Why It Still Might Happen

Let’s be real — Titanfall as a franchise is too good to stay dead.

Even Respawn has hinted over the years that they haven’t completely given up on the series. In fact, in multiple interviews, devs have admitted they love the universe and would love to revisit it "when the time is right."

And let’s not forget — Apex Legends (set in the same universe) is still going strong. There’s talk of an Apex Legends 2.0 upgrade instead of a sequel, which might free up development space for something else… 👀

A perfect window for Titanfall to slip in?

What About a Titanfall 3 Release Date?

Here’s the frustrating truth: there is no official release date for Titanfall 3. Not even a hint. So all those "leaked" 2025 or 2026 dates? Take them with a Titan-sized grain of salt.

What we can say is that the demand is loud and clear. EA and Respawn know fans want this — and if they’re smart, they’ll listen.

Look, Titanfall 2 was one of the most underrated shooters of the last decade. The campaign was tight. The movement felt like butter. And don’t even get me started on those time-warp levels…

So yeah, whether it’s a full sequel or a soft reboot, fans like me are ready.

Even if this current leak fizzles out, I’d still say: Titanfall 3 is a “when,” not an “if.” And when it drops, we’ll all be standing by to call down our Titans.
